Fenton was created in 2006 by designer Dana Lorenz. After obtaining a painting degree from the University of Iowa, as well as the School of the Art Institute, Dana entered the fashion industry, working for large names such as Gucci and Donna Karan before turning her attention to jewellery in 2005.
Fenton is an elaborate mix of unexpected elements. The aesthetic inspires fantasy, and is always derived from a strong pop culture reference and point of view. In the International AW11/12 collection, Lorenz’s work is rife with dark undertones. Materials such as brass, chain fringes, spikes, and moody stones have been chosen for their visual and physical weight. Rope, crystals, chains and pearls find themselves wrapped, twisted and bound together in a unique assemblage signature to the brand.
Dana has been recognized by Italian Vogue and has been featured in Milan Fashion Week In 2010 Dana was nominated for CFDA Swarovski Accessory Designer of the Year Award.
